Artist Statement

"THAT'S WHERE IT ALL STARTED"

I had my first camera when I was 10.

My father loved taking photos and home movies and I think perhaps that's where it all started.

As I got older I put it aside for a while but started pursuing it again after moving to California, where there is inspiration everywhere. I was working in finance in Palo Alto and was two weeks away from taking my commodities broker exam when I decided to follow my passion. I went back to school to study photography and got an internship at the Stanford Daily. I have worked at various newspapers and freelanced on the East Coast ever since.

This career has opened doors and I have been privileged to have photographed people from all walks of life and that has been one of my life's greatest joys. It has been the the most wonderful profession and my photographic journey continues.
